BUGATTI VEYRON SS

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport or the Bugatti Veyron SS is one of the most respected high-performance sports cars in the world today. It is respected for its speed, performance, and looks. Almost in every aspect, the Veyron SS has been ranked higher by the auto lovers worldwide. In a sentence, the Veyron SS can be summed up as being 'owners' pride and competitors' envy'.
Many people have rated the car's performance to be as good as a Formula One race car. But is it really that good or are there some chinks in the Veroyn's armor? Let us take a closer look at the Veyron SS and find out whether Bugatti Veyron SS rightfully deserve the praise it gets or is it blown out of proportion.

What does it offer?

In a sentence, the Veyron offers a combination of high performance and stunning looks. The performance of this car is still unmatched by any other sports car in the world. If you want speed and performance at the tip of your fingers then Bugatti Veyron is the car you should have. The car redefines the meaning of a sports car and is a true champion in every sense. A powerful engine, an advanced aerodynamic body and many other features combine to make the Bugatti Veyron SS a beast of a car in every sense of the term.

The Beauty

The Veyron's body is unique in every sense. One of the biggest challenges that the Veyron designers faced was to keep the car on the road at its highest speed. Because law of physics states that at a speed of 250 mph any object would start floating in the air and thus it can lead to catastrophic accidents. Only the F1 cars of today run at speed exceeding 250 mph. But they have uniquely designed body to keep them firmly on the ground. Incorporating those design features in a normal sports car like the Veyron SS was almost impossible. But the designers have successfully managed to achieve that feat and have presented the world with a magnificent car in the Bugatti Veyron SS. It has truly made the Bugatti Veyron SS a super-sports car.

The Beast

It would not be wrong to say that the Veyron SS was designed around an engine. The Veyron SS is powered by a 16-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 1200 HP. The engine provides the SS with a maximum torque of 1106 lb ft at 3000-5000 rpm which is much higher compared to the earlier Veyron. The make of the engine is truly state-of-the-art and it is this engine which basically gives the Veyron SS the performance it has. A pair of unique NACA ducts has been integrated on the roof of the car which helps in cooling the engine.

The Thrill

The performance of the Veyron SS is simply outstanding. It has the capability of reaching the speed of 62 mph from zero in just 2.4 seconds. It comes with a top speed of 268 mph and takes a little more than 42 seconds to reach that speed. The Veyron SS is capable of maintaining that speed for 12 minutes before it runs out of fuel.

Interiors

The interior of the Veyron SS is simple but it excels in its simplicity. The simplicity of design in the interior of the car is understandable since it has not been built as a luxury vehicle, but a super sports car with an excellent performance. But the customer does have the choice of selecting his/her choice of upholstery for the seats. The instrument panel of the SS has very few switches. The instrument panel only has the things the driver would need while driving and they have been kept at a bare minimum.

Exteriors

The body of the Veyron SS has been designed by Jozef Kaban. The overall design of the car is extremely aerodynamic and lightweight. The entire body of the Veyron SS has been made from an all new carbon-monocoque structure that ensures lower weight, maximum torsion rigidity as well as passive safety. The cover of the car is made from carbon-fiber composites which, again, help in bringing down the overall weight of the car.

Should I buy one?

The Veyron SS is undoubtedly the best performing sports car in the world today. So of course you should have one given you can afford it.

Price and availability

All these features will not come cheap. If you are planning to buy the Veyron SS then you would have to shell out something to the tune of 1,950,000 euro or $2.4 million (at current exchange rates). This makes the Veyron one of the costliest cars in the world.
